Yeah I didn't expect that scene either but I think that it was just a way to show you (and Juno) how immature his character was really and that he wasn't ready to be a father.

I thought Jason Bateman did a great job with that b/c I noticed the romantic (for lack of a better word) kind of early and just thought I was imagining things. He did great with the subtlety of it.

Ellen Page is a great actress, but she was so annoying in the film. Angelina Jolie in A Mighty Heart deserved the Oscar nomination more.

I never understood why people thought Jennifer Garner was so amazing in this role. I liked the movie, own the dvd, watch most of Garner's stuff, but the role seemed pretty paint-by-numbers to me.
